The General Secretariat of the Central Library at the University of Baghdad received students of the first phase of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences / Department of Combating Desertification, in a scientific visit aimed at introducing them to the sources of knowledge and the importance of the library in supporting their academic career.
The visit included a tour of the library corridors to learn about its units and services and to learn about the borrowing mechanism, electronic services, and search instructions in databases and digital resources, as well as highlighting the vital role of the library in promoting scientific research and providing an integrated educational environment.
At the end of the visit, the students expressed their thanks and appreciation for the warm reception and the scientific benefit they have gained, stressing the importance of the Central Library as a main source of knowledge during their academic careers. This visit comes as part of the library’s efforts to enhance students’ scientific culture and encourage them to benefit from academic resources in their studies.
This visit achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth and eleventh goals, which call for quality education as well as sustainable cities and communities.
