The Department of Physics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science for Women, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific course entitled (Medical Terminology).
It aimed to introduce students to medical terminology, which is the cornerstone of communication between various medical specialties and helps in exchanging information accurately and clearly, as the unified medical language contributes to avoiding confusion and misinterpretation of information, which reduces the risk of medical errors, which may have serious effects on the health of patients.
Besides, these terms serve as a bridge for interaction between researchers and medical practitioners around the world, promoting international cooperation and enabling advances in treatment and scientific research. This unified language contributes to accelerating the transfer of knowledge and development in the medical field, which reflects positively on the development of treatment methods and the innovation of new medical technologies.
Medical terminology also contributes to improving coordination between different departments and medical teams in hospitals and health centers, leading to integrated and effective care. Thus, these terms play a crucial role not only in facilitating daily medical work but also in ensuring the delivery of high-quality and safe healthcare to patients.
This course achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the third goal, which calls for ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages.
