The Department of Computer Engineering, College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Career Development and Employment Unit, organized a workshop titled “Job Market Needs and Graduate Weaknesses.”

The session was conducted by Assist.Lecturers Al-Harith Muthanna Basheer and Assist.Lecturers Raafat Saleh Mohammed, with the participation of faculty members and students.

The workshop focused on modern job market requirements, challenges faced by graduates, and practical solutions to enhance their skills. Key topics included workplace expectations, institutional culture, the importance of language proficiency, and aligning academic curricula with industry needs.

The event concluded with several recommendations, including tracking graduate employment, strengthening ties with the private sector for training programs, and updating curricula to meet labor market demands.

This initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by equipping students with the necessary skills to succeed in the evolving job market.
