The Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Graduate Studies Division at the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad, organized a training workshop entitled: “Artificial Intelligence in the Security Field”. The workshop was lectured by Dr. Ahmed Ali Jassim and assistant lecturer Major Muntadhar Mahmoud Ghani Al-Rubaie, a lecturer at the Iraqi Police College in Baghdad, in the presence of a number of professors and employees.
The workshop aimed to clarify the relationship between artificial intelligence and security work, review the mechanisms of employing artificial intelligence in internal security, as well as learn about the experiences of leading countries in this field.
The most prominent recommendations included focusing on the development of artificial intelligence techniques to support speed and accuracy in security work, and organizing specialized seminars on artificial intelligence in security institutions, especially in police agencies, to enhance field utilization.
As well as the establishment of educational centers specialized in the security applications of artificial intelligence, benefiting from the expertise and experiences of countries that have succeeded in using artificial intelligence in internal security, and applying it in criminal operations and law enforcement.
The workshop concluded with important recommendations to promote the use of artificial intelligence in the security sector, thus contributing to achieving a safer and more accurate environment in the completion of security tasks.
