The College of Engineering, through the Women’s Empowerment Unit, organized its first university awareness session titled “Students’ Ethical Behavior on Campus.” The session was delivered by Assist.Prof.Dr. Ilham Ali Biyauni, Head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit.

The event aimed to educate students on the ethical behaviors required within the university environment, emphasizing the importance of adhering to academic regulations and fostering respectful interactions with professors, staff, and peers. By promoting ethical awareness, the initiative seeks to create a positive academic atmosphere that supports both educational and personal development. Additionally, it aims to instill a sense of discipline and responsibility among students by highlighting the guidelines set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and reinforcing the ethical values that shape a well-rounded university student.

The session covered various key topics, including student conduct regulations in higher education institutions, students’ ethical responsibilities toward their university, their relationships with faculty members and staff, and their ethical obligations toward themselves and their peers.

The activity concluded with several important recommendations, including the necessity of familiarizing students with ethical guidelines on campus, displaying conduct regulations in prominent locations to enhance awareness, and organizing regular workshops and lectures to reinforce ethical behavior and its impact on the university environment.
