As part of its efforts to promote transparency and enhance administrative and financial systems through modern technology, the Internal Audit and Oversight Department, in coordination with the Government Contracts Division at the University of Baghdad Presidency, organized a specialized workshop on the mechanism of the Electronic Procurement Request Platform.
The workshop was attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof.Dr. Ameer Faisal Abdul Amieer, the Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, Prof.Dr. Najlaa Sada Hassoun, the Director of the Internal Audit and Oversight Department, Prof.Dr. Haifa Youssef Suleiman, the Head of the Government Contracts Division, Dr. Sabah Sami Dawood, as well as platform officials, financial, auditing, and government contracts managers, and associate members from various administrative and financial departments within the university.
The workshop included a detailed presentation on how to use the platform to streamline procurement committee procedures electronically through the unified electronic platform for announcements and tenders. This initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency, minimize administrative errors, ensure transparency in transactions, and accelerate task completion.
Prof.Dr. Haifa Youssef Suleiman, Director of the Internal Audit and Oversight Department, highlighted that the workshop featured a practical demonstration on request submission and electronic tracking, along with discussions on potential challenges and ways to enhance the platform’s performance to ensure swift responses and accurate execution.
At the conclusion of the workshop, attendees’ inquiries were addressed, emphasizing the importance of leveraging this technology to facilitate administrative operations and strengthen internal audit and oversight functions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
