The College of Education for Women, Department of Geography, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a training workshop tagged (The problem of the functions of university teachers between development and delay), which was attended by a group of professors of the department and graduate students, and lectured by Assistant Professor Dr. Muhaiman Abdel Halim Taha and lecturer Dr. Nada Jawad Muhammad Ali.
The workshop aims to learn how to generate the required knowledge through scientific research, increase technical and administrative skills, and include cadres in extracurricular activities, as lecturers and university teachers have a role in development.
The workshop reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which is the establishment of workshops, courses, and scientific seminars that will provide scientific and practical skills and tools in order to carry out their future tasks in the right ways and encourage lecturers to scientific research to supplement knowledge and contribute to sustainable development and the participation of lecturers in administrative tasks and activities such as committees and extracurricular activities with supervision from the people of experience to be of help in building an elaborate scientific and administrative edifice.
