The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, in cooperation with the Persian and Syriac Language Departments, organized a rehabilitation course in basic skills to qualify students and graduates, in the presence of a number of professors and students of the college, with the participation of teachers from the Department of Persian Language (Prof. Dr. Anwar Abbas, Prof. Dr. Khairia Dammak, Prof. Dr. Zahra Barsa) and from the Department of Syriac Language (Assoc. Prof. Haider Hassan, Prof. Ashwaq Nusrat, Dr. Batoul Ahmed).

The course aimed to learn about the cover letter, how to conduct job interviews, write a CV, acquire the skills necessary to succeed in the labor market, build self-confidence, develop effective communication skills, problem-solving, and teamwork, as well as provide participants with the necessary tools to prepare a professional CV and conduct successful job interviews.

The lecturers recommended the need to prepare well and train in performance, enhance self-confidence through body language, know the nature of the interviews and the skills required, which helps in leaving a positive impression and enhancing the chances of obtaining the job, and ensuring that the CV is clear, concise and dedicated to the target job, as well as presenting oneself professionally, and the need to communicate with the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division to involve college graduates in the labor market and provide them with job opportunities in the private sector, which encourages students to study rare languages in the College of Languages within the specialization of Syriac language and other foreign languages.
