The Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Physics at the College of Science for Women at the University of Baghdad, held a training course entitled (Physical Therapy… Types… Devices Used in it).
The workshop aimed to introduce students to some physiotherapy devices available in physiotherapy clinics, while clarifying how to use their working principles and indicating the extent of their benefit, the most prominent of which are infrared devices, ultrasound devices, and electrical stimulation devices.
The lectures touched on clarifying the work of the neck massager, a tool designed to relieve tension and pain in the neck and shoulder area, which helps improve blood circulation and reduce muscle stiffness. The lectures showed that massage devices vary according to the technique used in their work and shape. Another applied example of the electric palm massage device is a device used to massage the hand and palm area using electrical techniques. The device usually works with electric motors that generate vibrations or massage movements that help relieve tension and muscle tension in the hands and the mechanism of work on the device has been clarified.
