The Career Development and Employment Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Media and Government Communication Division, organized an extracurricular event titled “The Optimal Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools by Students.”
The event featured an awareness lecture delivered by Assist. Prof.Dr. Samer Imad Mohammed, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department. Additionally, informational brochures were distributed, outlining the most beneficial AI programs for students.
The initiative aimed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively utilize AI tools in their academic studies while emphasizing the importance of avoiding excessive reliance on them. The event covered several key topics, including a lecture on the role of AI in enhancing students’ academic performance, particularly in research writing.
The session provided practical examples and a comprehensive explanation of how to use these tools effectively across different research stages. Additionally, it underscored the importance of critical thinking and analytical skills when engaging with AI technologies. Furthermore, a selection of AI tools was introduced through explanatory brochures, guiding students on their appropriate use to ensure academic integrity.
