The College of Education for Women, Department of History, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a training workshop titled “Islam and People with Disabilities.” The event was attended by a distinguished group of faculty members and students from the department, with lectures delivered by Assist.Prof.Dr. Ban Ali Mohammed and Assist.Prof.Dr. Mayassa Hatim.
The aim of the workshop was to highlight the attention Islam gives to individuals with disabilities, emphasizing the importance of integrating them into society and exploring ways to benefit from and utilize their abilities for the service of both the community and religion.
The activity concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important being that caring for individuals with disabilities is a central aspect of Islam’s greatness. Furthermore, people with disabilities are a vital social group who should be integrated into society, with their potential harnessed and developed.
