The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Ibn Rushd College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Baghdad, has received programmatic accreditation from the Iraqi National Council for Colleges of Educational Sciences. This achievement makes it the first department in Iraq to attain such accreditation, reaffirming the college’s commitment to delivering high-quality education aligned with global academic standards.

Programmatic accreditation is a comprehensive process that evaluates all aspects of an academic program, including approved curricula, teaching methods, infrastructure, human and financial resources, as well as technical and operational aspects. The primary objective of this accreditation is to foster continuous institutional development, enhance the quality of education, research, and community service, and ensure that graduates meet the evolving demands of the labor market while contributing to sustainable development goals.

This academic milestone is the result of dedicated efforts led by Prof.Dr. Alawi Sader Jazaa, Dean of the College, along with the collective contributions of the vice deans and faculty members of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences. Their commitment to improving and modernizing academic programs reflects the college’s mission to keep pace with contemporary educational advancements and meet the needs of students and society.
