The University of Baghdad Council convened its eleventh regular session, chaired by Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University of Baghdad, and attended by several deans of colleges and institutes. The session resulted in the issuance of several important directives aimed at enhancing administrative and academic performance across the university’s institutions.
The council emphasized the need to update the organizational structure across all university formations, instructing the deans of colleges and institutes to expedite its completion in accordance with established administrative frameworks. Additionally, it stressed adherence to official working hours at the university presidency and its affiliated units, in line with the directives issued by the Council of Ministers.
In support of academic advancement, the council assigned the Chair of the Scientific Promotions Committee to review a proposal for restructuring the scientific promotion committees within the institutes and the Center for Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies. This process will be coordinated with the deans of the institutes and the center to ensure optimal outcomes.
The session concluded with a discussion of the agenda items, reaffirming the university’s commitment to ongoing administrative and academic development to further strengthen its academic standing.
