The Arabic Language Safety Unit, in collaboration with the Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Women, organized a scientific workshop titled “Linguistic Errors in Iraqi Daily Life Writings.” The event was attended by a select group of faculty members, staff, and students of the college.
The workshop featured lectures by Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Mahmoud Shakir and Assistant Lecturer Shathra Al-Hakim Abdul Karim.The goal of the workshop was to improve writing and speaking skills, avoid traditional errors in Iraqi daily life speeches, and enhance personal cognitive development in using correct Arabic language.
The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: Acknowledging the role of linguistic errors in enhancing professionalism and scientific credibility. Consolidating correct linguistic terms in daily Iraqi communications. Promoting effective understanding and communication by avoiding common mistakes and using proper language.
