The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education for Women, organized a workshop titled “Psychological Security and Social Security.” The event was attended by a select group of professors, staff, and students of the college.
The workshop featured lectures by Prof. Dr. Wi’am Shaker Ghani, Dr. Noor Ali Abdullah, and Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Abdul Redha. The activity aimed to highlight the importance of psychological stability and its impact on individuals and society. It emphasized the strong connection between an individual’s sense of inner security and overall societal stability, as well as the significance of creating a psychologically safe environment to enhance productivity and promote positive coexistence.
The workshop concluded with several key recommendations, including: raising awareness of mental health through educational and media programs targeting all age groups, establishing psychological counseling clinics to provide support and help individuals cope with stress, encouraging healthy relationships that offer emotional support to individuals.
