The Ibn Sina E-Learning Center at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop entitled “Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT”, presented by Eng. Farah Rafid and Al-Sit Intisar. The workshop discussed the definition of artificial intelligence concepts and the basics of dealing with ChatGPT technology, as well as highlighting the ethical and future challenges associated with using these technologies.
The workshop aims to introduce participants to the basics of artificial intelligence and its various applications. It discusses how this technology can simulate human intelligence by recognizing images, solving problems, and predicting the future. The workshop also explains ChatGPT technology as a smart language model that supports conversations, creative content writing, and customer support.
The workshop focused on clarifying the ethical challenges associated with using ChatGPT, most notably privacy concerns and the possibility of data leakage, as well as concern about over-reliance on technology that may reduce the critical thinking of users. It also highlighted the importance of establishing ethical restrictions to prevent abuse such as spreading false news or fraud.
The workshop concluded with a discussion on the future of artificial intelligence and technologies such as ChatGPT. It reviewed potential innovations in developing smarter and more complex models and their role in supporting decision-making, improving healthcare, and enhancing education. The workshop also discussed future challenges, especially about ethical guarantees to employ technology in safe and beneficial ways.
