The Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, held a training course entitled (Field Application, Problems, and Solutions), presented by the lecturer in the Theoretical Sciences Branch, Prof. Dr. Najla Abbas Al-Zuhairi.

Dr. Al-Zuhairi explained the concept of practical education, which is all the different activities that the student teacher learns about through all aspects of the educational process gradually so that he begins to watch and then start bearing the duties carried out by the teacher until he finally reaches the actual practice of the teacher’s work completely.

It also explained its objectives of allowing the applied student to apply the theories and principles of learning and the skills related to his field of specialization acquired throughout the study period, identifying the mechanisms of applying different teaching methods, developing observation skills to identify students’ behaviors and individual abilities and dealing with problems.

She pointed to the most important instructions for practical education for students, which are commitment to daily working hours, non-absence, sports uniforms, moral and educational ideals and values, participation in flag-raising ceremonies and extracurricular activities, great care to leave a positive impact on college members and the school administration, informing the school principal weekly of the applied plan book, applying plans according to the vocabulary of the Ministry of Education, working to employ alternatives and try to find them in schools that do not have tools and material capabilities, it is possible to activate the role of alternatives whether in the lesson or school in general.
