The Department of Water Resources Engineering at the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad organized a visit to the Iraqi House for Creativity Foundation after organizing the “Charity Bazaar. The proceeds of which were allocated to support the Foundation’s elderly home within the framework of promoting the values of social solidarity and the spirit of cooperation.
The organizing committee of the bazaar was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Omran Mohsen and the committee included Assistant Teacher Alaa Abdel Hadi Abbas, Chief Engineer Taghreed Hussein Abbas, and representatives of students participating in the bazaar from various academic levels.
The President of the Iraqi House Foundation for Creativity, Mr. Hisham Al-Dhahabi, received the organizing committee of the bazaar, stressing that this support reflects a commitment to the spirit of social responsibility and appreciating the department’s initiative in supporting the elderly home, stressing the importance of the university’s role in promoting human values and social solidarity. He also thanked the contributions of the professors and students of the department, pointing to the impact of this initiative in developing the human spirit among young people and supporting the neediest groups in society.
