As part of efforts to enhance academic collaboration between the University of Baghdad and leading global institutions, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University of Baghdad, continued his academic tour with a visit to Keio University, one of most prestigious universities in Japan.

The visit included in-depth discussions with Keio University President, Prof. Kohei Itoh, and Vice President for International Collaboration and IT, Prof. Motohiro Tsuchiya. The talks resulted in an agreement to draft a memorandum of understanding to advance cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, engineering, medical sciences, and advanced research.

Discussions also highlighted plans to establish a specialized department for Japanese language and literature, alongside initiatives to strengthen studies in the humanities and social sciences. The Japanese side expressed admiration for the academic capabilities and advanced infrastructure of the University of Baghdad.

Both Prof. Itoh and Prof. Tsuchiya affirmed their readiness to work towards a robust academic partnership, paving the way for new opportunities in joint research and collaborative projects.
