As part of his academic visit to Japan, the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr.Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sophia University in Japan, following official approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The agreement aims to enhance scientific collaboration between the two universities in areas such as research, joint supervision, teaching, organizing international conferences, and facilitating faculty and student exchanges.

During the signing ceremony, Sophia University President, Professor Yoshiaki Terumichi, expressed his pleasure at formalizing this academic collaboration, highlighting that the agreement marks the culmination of seven years of academic communication between faculty and students from both universities.

Prof.Dr. Bahaa emphasized that this agreement represents a significant step toward strengthening the University of Baghdad’s academic standing and expanding its horizons for collaboration with international institutions. He added that this is the third agreement of its kind between the University of Baghdad and Japanese academic institutions.
