The College of Engineering, through the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit and the Continuing Education Unit, organized a scientific workshop titled “Drugs and Their Negative Impact on Individuals and Society.” The workshop was delivered by Assist.Prof.Hiba Moayad, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and its harmful effects on individuals and society. It was held as part of Drug Awareness Week, reflecting the university’s commitment to educating students on critical health issues and reinforcing its role in combating drug abuse. The initiative also contributes to building a healthy and sustainable community.

The workshop recommended that families closely monitor and guide their children, emphasizing the role of university professors in advising and mentoring students. It also highlighted the importance of adhering to religious and ethical values as a means of protecting individuals from falling prey to such harmful societal phenomena.
