The Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of History at the College of Arts, organized a workshop on (How to Audit the Sobriety of Academic Journals) delivered by the teacher, Dr. Sajjad Hassan Alwan, in the presence of a number of professors and employees.
The workshop aimed to demonstrate the mechanism of auditing the sobriety of Iraqi and Arab journals, and international journals within the Scopus and Clarivate repositories, for professors who are about to be promoted and graduate students wishing to publish research derived from their academic studies.
The workshop recommended the need to work to reduce the publication in counterfeit, commercial, and predatory magazines, established for profit purposes far from scientific and academic standards, as well as the implementation of training workshops for students on the mechanism of checking the sobriety of journals before embarking on the publishing process.
