The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized the activities of the Second International Unified National Conference for Dental Colleges in Iraq. The conference was attended by Dr. Bashar Al-Saadi, representing the Prime Minister, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Education Affairs, Dr. Adnan Al-Sarraj, and the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Deputy Yassin Al-Ithawi, representing the Parliamentary Education Committee and Chairman of the Committee of Deans of Dental Colleges in Iraq, Prof. Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, as well as university presidents and deans of colleges, in the presence of a group of dentists and researchers from Iraq and Arab and foreign countries.

The conference aimed to present the latest scientific products and applied research and employ them scientifically in consolidating the quality of education, achieving sustainable development, exchanging experiences with international researchers, learning about modern technologies, and developing the research and academic capabilities of researchers and teachers according to the latest scientific developments.

The conference included several axes, the most important of which was to discuss the developments in the various specialties of dentistry, including oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthetics, dental implants, pediatric dentistry, preventive orthodontics, treatment and cosmetic dentistry, diseases and surgery around the teeth.

 At the end of the conference, he came out with several recommendations, the most prominent of which is promoting the knowledge economy and investing in scientific research to support innovation and development in the field of dentistry in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development, activating international partnerships and developing relations between the Iraqi researcher and foreign research to raise the level of education and scientific research in Iraq to the highest levels of scientific leadership and support the culture of entrepreneurship among young people and take advantage of social media as an innovative tool to achieve professional development and encourage them to think creatively and keep pace with the needs of the changes in labor market.
