The Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning at the College of Arts, University of Baghdad, organized a training workshop titled “Combating Administrative Corruption.” The workshop was led by Assistant Lecturer Alla Alaa Rida, with the attendance of several faculty members and staff.
The event aimed to highlight the most common forms of administrative and financial corruption in government and private institutions, and to discuss methods for eliminating them, given the negative impact of this phenomenon on the public interest. Eliminating corruption was emphasized as a crucial step in developing the economy, enhancing trust in the government, and increasing the efficiency of administrative and financial institutions.
The workshop recommended developing a comprehensive plan that includes legal, institutional, and cultural reforms to promote transparency, as well as creating electronic platforms to monitor government spending and public projects. It also called for the implementation of regular financial disclosures for officials.
