As part of the university’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education and scientific research, as well as developing infrastructure and services, the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, held a comprehensive meeting with the department directors at the university presidency. The meeting was attended by Prof.Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, and Prof.Dr. Ameer Faisal Abdul Ameer, Assistant President for Administrative Affairs.

During the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of fostering cooperation between the various departments to achieve academic and administrative integration, addressing weaknesses in administrative dealings, and enhancing coordination across the university’s units. He also highlighted the significance of adhering to quality standards and academic accreditation, urging department directors to activate their roles in improving academic and administrative performance.

The meeting included a discussion of a plan to renovate the university presidency building in collaboration with relevant engineering bodies and to provide essential administrative office supplies to address deficiencies and improve services.

The meeting’s recommendations stressed introducing a new approach for official university correspondence to ensure clearer communication, with an emphasis on making recommendations for handling requests in accordance with the responsibilities of each department. It also called for the removal of damaged and consumable materials.

In turn, the department directors presented detailed reports on their achievements during the previous period, the challenges they face, and their future plans to enhance administrative performance in their departments. The President of the University praised these efforts and reaffirmed his full support for implementing programs and initiatives aimed at improving the university’s standards.
