The Chemical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, in collaboration with Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, organized a training workshop as part of the “Advanced Skills Development for Postgraduate Students (ASDPS)” program. The workshop was titled “Professional Methods for Writing Scientific References for Research and Theses Using EndNote.”

The event aimed to train postgraduate students and faculty members on using EndNote software to professionally organize, manage, and store scientific references, as well as incorporate them into research papers, master’s theses, and doctoral dissertations. The session included an introduction to the software’s importance and its recognition by global institutions such as Clarivate and Google Scholar.

Participants were also trained on how to use EndNote to build an electronic library with the required references and efficiently create citations for their research.

At the conclusion of the workshop, several recommendations were presented to enhance the research skills of postgraduate students, encouraging them to utilize modern tools for writing and organizing scientific references in a professional and effective manner for their theses and research papers.
