The Dean of the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher, inaugurated the college’s new stadium, which was called (Baghdad Medicine Stadium for Multiple Purposes). Taher expressed his happiness with the opening of the stadium, saying: “This achievement reflects the keenness of the College of Mass Communication to provide a comprehensive environment that supports extracurricular activities for students, and confirms our interest in nurturing sports talents, which have achieved advanced results in most university championships.”

During the opening ceremony, the University of Baghdad Volleyball Championship kicked off at the Jadriyah Complex, where the opening match witnessed a confrontation between the College of General Engineering team and the team of the College of Engineering Al-Khwarizmi, in addition to another match between the College of Mass Communication team and the College of Political Science team.

In this context, Dr. Ali Sadiq, Director of the Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad, said: “The opening of the College of Mass Communication Stadium is a qualitative step that contributes to supporting university sports activities, encouraging students to practice their hobbies and discover and develop their talents.”

The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences continued: “I am pleased to make a small contribution to support the sports fields of the Faculty of Mass Communication by gifting five balls with feather netlists, to encourage sports activities and develop the capabilities available to students.”

Regarding the launch of the University of Baghdad Volleyball Championship, Dr. Qassim pointed out that “the University of Baghdad Volleyball Championship represents an opportunity to create constructive sports competition between colleges.
