The College of Administration and Economics, Department of Industrial Administration, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a workshop entitled (Applications of Artificial Intelligence and its Importance in Education) delivered by the teacher (Maryam Abdul-Jabbar Ali). The workshop aims to clarify the concept of artificial intelligence and its importance in the field of education.
The lecture indicated that the concept of artificial intelligence is a set of technologies that enable systems to teach, think, and carry out tasks in a similar way to humans and has revolutionized all fields, including education, as it helped to provide innovative and customized educational solutions aimed at improving the education experience for students and teachers alike, as for the field of education, artificial intelligence is of greater importance as it has made a profound impact, as artificial intelligence platforms have revolutionized the way teachers deal with education. Since their inception, online courses have developed content and evaluations and helped in designing scientific experiments that suit the needs and levels of individual students, as the lecture pointed to the most important aids provided by artificial intelligence, such as chatbots, and virtual assistants to answer questions, and immediate support for solving problems.
At the end of the workshop, the lecture referred to the most important tips for effective users of artificial intelligence, the foremost of which is investigating the validity and accuracy of the produced texts and reviewing the results manually to ensure quality and respect for scientific research standards and ethics.
