Prof.Dr. Ilham Ali Al-Anouz, the Director of Women’s Affairs at the College of Engineering, Baghdad University, participated in a meeting chaired by Dr. Nada Al-Abadi, Head of the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with representatives of the Women’s Affairs Units from various colleges and departments at Baghdad University.

The meeting addressed key issues related to women’s affairs in universities, focusing on the challenges faced by female students and staff, and discussed mechanisms for supporting them both academically and professionally. The meeting also emphasized the importance of enhancing the role of women in leadership positions and scientific research, and encouraging their active participation in university and community activities.

During the meeting, proposals were presented by college representatives to develop awareness and empowerment programs for women, along with plans for the future to strengthen the role of Women’s Affairs Units in addressing priority issues, such as balancing study and work, and combating discrimination.

The meeting concluded with a strong emphasis on the importance of teamwork in implementing initiatives that support women and enhance their presence in various fields.
