The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized an awareness workshop on widespread misconceptions about suicide, in the presence of a group of students and those interested.

This workshop aims to raise awareness of the dangers of suicide and encourage college students to seek help if needed and provide them with psychosocial support. The workshop addressed a range of common misconceptions about suicide, how to deal with suicidal thoughts, and the importance of seeking professional help.

The workshop explained that there are many misconceptions about suicide, such as believing that people who are thinking about suicide and want to die or that talking about suicide encourages it, and focused on the psychological and social reasons that may push a person to think about suicide, and how to recognize warning signs.

In conclusion, the course provided a set of tips on how to prevent suicide and how to provide support to people with suicidal thoughts and stressed the importance of seeking professional help in case of suicidal thoughts, stressing that there are many treatment options available.
