The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Iraqi National Security Agency, and the University Follow-up Department at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, and in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, hosted a course entitled (Security Immunity for Iraqi Universities), for the elements of security follow-up for Iraqi public universities in Baghdad and the provinces, and with the participation of security follow-up elements from the university formations, delivered by Dr. Muhammad Al-Bukhati from the Universities Security Directorate in the Iraqi National Security Service.
The course aimed to enhance the culture of security awareness of the follow-up departments and provide appropriate solutions to improve the security environment in Iraqi universities, as well as enhance the capabilities of university staff in facing security challenges, analyzing security risks, as well as building a positive culture among students and employees.
The course also included several axes, the most important of which is a presentation of the security threats and risks that threaten the security and safety of universities and taking appropriate steps to address them, as well as reviewing the dangers of drugs and psychotropic substances and ways to prevent them, in addition to discussing societal peace between students, college members, and affiliates to ensure the security environment and the stability of the campus in order to advance the wheel of the educational process in the country.
This course aims to raise the level of security awareness among university staff and enable them to deal with the security challenges facing educational institutions, as it seeks to build a safe and stable university environment.
