The Department of Water Resources Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, organized a charity bazaar, with the proceeds dedicated to supporting the elderly home in Baghdad. The event was managed by Prof.Dr.Hisham Al-Dhabi under the slogan “Life Becomes Beautiful with Their Contentment.”
The bazaar was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof.Dr. Ghassan Hameed Abdul-Majid, and the supervision of the Head of the Department of Water Resources Engineering, Prof.Dr. Basim Shabah Abdul, with active participation from faculty members and students.
The event featured a display and sale of food products prepared by the department’s students, as well as accessories, office supplies, and stationery. It saw a significant turnout from students and faculty members of the College of Engineering as well as other faculties within the university.
The Dean of the College commended the efforts of the organizers, praising this humanitarian initiative for its role in fostering social values among students. He emphasized the importance of charitable activities in cultivating a spirit of cooperation and community involvement.
