The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop entitled (Drugs and their harms) in the presence of a number of professors and students at the college, in which the assistant teacher Samah Nghimish Sultan lectured.

The workshop aimed to promote awareness of the serious dangers of drugs, provide the necessary knowledge to avoid addiction, and contribute to the creation of a conscious and responsible society.

The workshop also included several axes, the most important of which is the definition of drugs as one of the most dangerous phenomena that threaten individuals and societies and their impact on public and mental health as well as general drug harm.

The workshop recommended the need to enhance awareness of the dangers of drugs through lectures and community activities, as well as to provide a supportive environment for young people that encourages the adoption of healthy lifestyles to enhance the role of the family in monitoring and guiding children.
