The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the College of Education for Women, organized an awareness workshop on (the mechanism of the effect of drugs on the human body) in which Dr. Ismahan Adnan Abbas, Dr. Salwa Ghazi Turki and Dr. Suzan Ibrahim Ali lectured in the presence of a number of college teachers and students.
The workshop aimed to educate college students and employees about the negative effects of drugs on the functions and behaviors of the individual and the damage they cause to the brain and other body systems.
The workshop recommended that universities and workplaces take serious policies against drug use, reduce abuse, and tighten penalties in these places, as well as the need for parental follow-up, meaning that the family must monitor its children and get to know their friends and places they usually go.
