During the visit of the President of Al-Azhar University, Prof. Omar Khudair Milad, to the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, the students of the Palestinian Al-Azhar University in the Gaza Strip valued the great efforts made by the university to support them in their educational journey, by providing the opportunity to complete their studies at the College of Dentistry, due to the difficult circumstances they face.
The delegation expressed their deep appreciation for these initiatives, stressing that this step is not strange to the University of Baghdad, which is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the Arab world and has a leading role in promoting joint Arab action, especially in the academic and educational fields. They expressed their desire to open new departments at the University of Baghdad to include the largest possible number of Palestinian students.
The Presidency of the University of Baghdad, represented by Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, and the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Muhammad, during their welcome to the delegation of the Palestinian Al-Azhar University, confirmed that the students will have advanced educational programs and modern research facilities, enabling them to develop their academic and practical skills in their field of specialization.
It is noteworthy that this initiative comes within the framework of expanding cultural and academic cooperation between Iraq and the State of Palestine, due to Iraq’s keenness to support the Palestinian people in various fields, especially in the higher education sector.
