The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad witnessed a joyful ceremony on the occasion of the hijab festival, which was entitled “My hijab is my paradise, and my role model is my father’s mother”. The ceremony was characterized by the diversity of its events, which reflected the extent of students’ interest in their religious and cultural issues.
During the ceremony, the Administrative Assistant, Prof. Dr. Arkan Rahim Jaber, honored the distinguished students, praising their great role in society and stressing the importance of commitment to values and ethics in all aspects of life, stressing that the hijab is not just a piece of cloth, but rather a symbol of chastity, honor and religiosity, as he stressed the importance of adhering to Islamic values in all aspects of life, calling on students to be good role models for their peers.
For their part, the students participating in the festival expressed their happiness with this event, stressing the importance of celebrating the hijab as part of their religious and cultural identity. The students stressed that the hijab gives them self-confidence and strength and makes them more committed to their values and principles.
