The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad organized a training workshop titled “Blood Pressure Measurement: Different Devices and Cuff Sizes – Does It Make a Difference?” with the participation of a distinguished group of physicians and specialists in internal medicine, cardiology, and healthcare.

The event focused on the factors affecting the accuracy of blood pressure measurement, emphasizing the types of devices and cuff sizes used. The workshop included presentations on best practices for accurately measuring blood pressure, with a focus on the impact of different devices on readings and the crucial role of cuff sizes in ensuring reliable measurements. It also emphasized the importance of precise measurement in the effective diagnosis and management of hypertension, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The workshop targeted internists, cardiologists, medical students, and healthcare providers, aiming to enhance their ability to perform accurate measurements that contribute to the proper diagnosis and effective management of hypertension.
