The Department of Public Relations at the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad participated with its teams, “Bibon for a Green Environment” and “Makers of Tomorrow”, in a voluntary campaign to afforestation of the Karrada area, where 147 trees were planted, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Erada Zidan Al-Jubouri.

Dr. Erada stressed the importance of this initiative in supporting the local environment and enhancing the spirit of cooperation and volunteerism among students, noting that “the college always seeks to integrate academic work with community initiatives to achieve the goals of sustainable development.”

The campaign received positive interaction from residents and participants, who expressed their appreciation for these efforts to improve the environment and enhance green spaces in Baghdad.

The campaign, titled “Baghdad Cultivates”, is part of the department’s efforts to promote environmental awareness and contribute to achieving the tenth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, which focuses on reducing inequality and ensuring equal access to clean and healthy environments.
