Within the activities of the counseling week, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Languages at the University of Baghdad held an awareness seminar entitled (Student Discipline Law from a Legal, Cultural and Social Point of View), in which the lecturer at the College of Arts (Eng. Ahmed Qasim Zayed) lectured, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Languages, Prof. Dr. Ali Adnan Mashoush, assistants, heads of scientific departments, employees and students of the college.
The seminar aimed to introduce the student’s commitments on campus and the legal consequences of the Student Discipline Law. The seminar included several topics, such as introducing student discipline instructions, which include students’ commitments on campus, as well as disciplinary penalties imposed on students who violate instructions on campus.
The researcher recommended emphasizing not to use mobile phones in a way that harms the relations of fellowship and public morals with the prohibition of smoking inside the halls and corridors of buildings and also stressed the non-use of violence and threats among students, as well as commitment to dress and decency to reflect the beautiful image of students, as well as the researcher stressed to stay away from everything that contradicts with the right university behavior.
