The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized a specialized workshop to educate university students about the dangers of drugs and their devastating effects on the individual and society, this comes within the framework of the celebration of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week and in the presence of a wide range of students and professors.

The workshop included interactive lectures and workshops on various aspects of the drug problem, starting from the causes of its spread to the health, psychological, and social effects resulting from it. The workshop stressed the importance of the role of academic institutions in spreading awareness of the dangers of drugs and providing young people with the necessary skills and knowledge to confront this danger and stay away from it, as well as the need for cooperation between all government and private institutions and civil society to combat this dangerous phenomenon.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Nima Dahsh Farhan, Dean of the Faculty, praised this initiative, stressing the importance of concerted efforts to combat drugs and protect young people from their dangers, adding that the Faculty will continue to organize such events to enhance community awareness of the dangers of drugs.
