The Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems at the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad, organized a training workshop entitled (The Use of Scientific Research Methods in Climatic Geography) in which Dr. Hussein Jabr and Sami lectured, in the presence of a number of professors, employees, and students.

The workshop aimed to clarify the importance of the correct and appropriate use of scientific methods in climate study according to the scale of the microclimatology study.

Macroclimatolgh or Global climatology shows the historical development of climatic science methods, and the types of approaches used in climate study.

The workshop came out with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is that scientific research methods evolved after the discovery of measuring devices and turned from just a description of the climate phenomenon to the study of the phenomenon through the use of mathematical models and mathematical equations, especially after the discovery of laws such as Boyle’s law of gases, so it is necessary to choose the appropriate approach according to the climate study.
