The Department of Sociology, in cooperation with the Educational Guidance and Guidance Unit at the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad, organized an awareness orientation lecture entitled (The First Steps towards University Success), in which Assistant Lecturer Shaima Mahmoud Kazem lectured in the presence of Teacher Dr. Sherine Muhammad Kazim, member of the Psychological Counseling Department for the first stage of the Department of Sociology, and the presence of a number of students of the first stage.
The lecture aimed to introduce students to the concept of university success and clarify the role of the university student in the success of the educational process, as well as encourage students to success and academic and humanitarian commitments.
The lecture reached several recommendations, including cooperation between students and professors in the success of the educational process and cooperation between students in encouraging reading and academic reading, as well as giving motivation to students with the importance of the department, learning, and development.
