The Student Activities Department at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, inaugurated its annual sports and artistic scouting festival under the theme “With Sports and Art, Unleash Your Energy and Discover Yourself,” coinciding with the anniversary of Victory Day. The event was attended by Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University of Baghdad, along with the Assistant Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, and a number of deans from various colleges.
The festival featured various sports and artistic activities, including handicrafts and artwork displays. The President of the University praised these works, which represent the culture, folklore, and history of Iraq. The festival also included a Taekwondo demonstration and a friendly five-a-side football match between the teams of the College of Physical Education and Sports Science and the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences. The match ended with the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences winning in a penalty shootout.
At the conclusion of the festival, awards were presented to the two teams, and certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participants.
