The Central Library at the University of Baghdad organized an online workshop titled “How to Protect Your Privacy on the Internet,” presented by Assist.Lecturer Mustafa Abdul Samie Abdul Hamid.

The workshop aimed to raise participants’ awareness of various cyber threats and how to deal with them, focusing on developing skills for detecting phishing and malicious attacks, learning to use modern security tools and techniques, such as two-factor authentication, and enhancing security awareness to protect individuals and organizations.

The workshop covered several important topics, including defining information security and its importance in the digital world, common types of cyber threats such as phishing and malware, data protection techniques to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability, as well as analyzing cyberattacks and strategies to counter them. The workshop also helped highlight the importance of digital security as an essential aspect of interacting with modern technology.
