The President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, received in his office in the presidency of the university, an academic delegation from the Chechen State Educational University, headed by the Assistant President of the Chechen Educational University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Tamara Andyevna, the head of the Russian language department and a number of teachers and students, and in the presence of the Assistant President of the University of Baghdad for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, and the Dean of the College of Languages at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ali Adnan Mashoush.

During the meeting, the two parties expressed the importance of strengthening academic and cultural cooperation between the two universities, in the interest of students and teaching staff in both countries. The two sides also discussed mechanisms for developing joint programs that include the exchange of scientific experiences, the organization of joint scientific workshops and conferences, as well as cooperation in the fields of scientific research of interest.

The President of the University of Baghdad expressed the readiness of Baghdad University to receive Russian students within the study in Iraq initiative and to sign a protocol for scientific cooperation in the field of visiting professors and student exchange, pointing to the importance of the Russian language as a means to enhance cultural and scientific understanding between Iraq and Russia.

At the end of the meeting, the two parties exchanged shields of appreciation and praised the warm reception. The two parties agreed to form a joint committee to follow up on the implementation of the proposed cooperation programs and identify practical steps to achieve common goals.
