The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, honored the students at the University of Baghdad who won the Higher Education Award for Reading in its second edition for the year 2024.
The University of Baghdad ranked third in the test results of the Higher Education Award for Reading in its second edition for the year 2024, in the exam that the competitors took in the content of the book (Islamic Views on the Declaration of Human Rights) by the martyr Muhammad Al-Sadr (may his secret be sanctified) and the book (The Civilized Question, How to Innovate Our Future in a Changing World) by Zaki Milad.
The student Zahraa Muhammad Fadel from the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad ranked third with (88) degrees, while the student Muhammad Al-Mustafa Abdul Qadir from the College of Pharmacy ranked fourth with (88), and the student Maryam Muhammad Fadel from the College of Medicine Al-Kindi, and the student Ali Muhammad Shaker from the College of Engineering achieved advanced stages out of (1327) one thousand three hundred and twenty-seven students from various scientific and humanitarian disciplines.
The Minister of Higher Education stressed in his speech during the honoring ceremony that the award project adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the second year in a row opened the way for reviewing and strengthening the contexts of general culture, noting that university students participated and contributed to absorbing its scientific and cultural connotations and integrated with them the requirements of cultural responsibility that embody the identity of society and its extensions past, present and future.
The Minister of Education reiterated the importance of these programs and events in primary university studies and paved the way for their transition from the field of competitions to the scientific research environment that achieves the feasibility of the university degree, which should address the challenges and dangers to which societies are exposed and leave a clear impact that shortens effort and time in terms of producing solutions and dismantling problems.
