The Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the Ibn Rushd College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Baghdad, held a workshop entitled (The Role of the Iraqi Family in Qualifying Children for Study) in which Assistant Professor Dr. Sulaf Faizullah Hassan lectured.

The workshop aimed to show the importance of parental interaction in the learning and development of children to study, and how to deal with children in building a strong, cooperative, and tolerant personality capable of adapting to the social environment.

She indicated that the rehabilitation of children at an early age to education is very important, and the needs to activate the relationship between the family and the school through the follow-up of parents to students and follow-up of the level of children in the test, as well as the role of the teaching staff in dealing with students dealing away from verbal abuse and attack in a manner unworthy of the sanctity of education and the activation of beloved materials for children such as physical education, art education and family education to make education and schools interesting for the student and reward distinguished children on their activities and events through the establishment of festivals for poetry and acting so that the student is prepared to seek knowledge and continue the scientific process.

In conclusion, the workshop recommended activating the role of educational guidance to be a link between the family and the school, as well as holding such seminars in all directorates of education in our beloved Iraq.
