The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad participated in the international symposium full of intellectual and philosophical depth, organized by the Department of Philosophical Studies at the House of Wisdom in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, which dealt with historical and contemporary philosophical relations between Iraq and Iran, in the presence of a wide range of philosophers and intellectuals from the two countries, as well as a high-level Iranian delegation that included His Excellency the Iranian Ambassador in Baghdad, along with a constellation of the most prominent Iranian philosophers.
The college’s participation included a research paper that shed light on the historical roots of philosophical relations between Iraq and Iran and the most prominent aspects of convergence and interaction between philosophical thought in the two countries.
The importance of the symposium was the dialogue between cultures and civilizations and the need to benefit from the common philosophical heritage between Iraq and Iran to build a better future for the region.
This seminar comes within the framework of efforts to enhance cultural and intellectual cooperation between Iraq and Iran and shed light on the depth of historical and civilizational relations between the two brotherly peoples.
