A number of professors at the College of Education for Women at the University of Baghdad participated in the program agreed upon with UNICEF in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Life Skills and Citizenship Program in Iraq), which lasted for five days.
The agenda of the training course included explaining the structure of the manuals, the program, the post-test, identifying communication skills with young people, discussing the importance of these skills in daily life and the work environment, as well as facilitation skills and basic skills that the facilitator must possess in stimulating dialogue, promoting everyone’s participation and resolving conflicts.
It is worth mentioning that the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Assistant Professor Dr. Ithmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, strives to develop the scientific and cultural skills and administrative, developmental, and creative capabilities of professors and researchers in cooperation with government institutions and various civil society organizations that would enhance the status of the university professor and raise the level of his scientific and practical capabilities.
