The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing first place in the University of Baghdad Table Tennis Championship for students. The tournament, which saw the participation of 19 colleges, was held on the courts of the Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering. This accomplishment was realized under the guidance of Dr. Rawia Jabbar, Head of the Student Activities Unit, and with the support of Dr. Oday Jamil and Dr. Mohammed Mahdi, who supervised the training efforts.
Notably, Amr Ahmed Hameed, a third-year student in the Radio and Television Department, delivered an outstanding performance, surpassing all competitors to reach the final match. His exceptional skills earned him a well-deserved first-place victory after defeating the representative of the College of Education Ibn Rushd.
This achievement underscores the dedication of the College of Mass Communication’s administration to fostering and developing students’ talents, while consistently striving to create a supportive environment that encourages active participation in a wide range of university activities.
